Erika Dysert - Junior Handler

Erika was our Junior Handler. She took to it like a natural, and obtained her first three wins in the Junior Novice Class within her first 6 months of showing. Her third Junior Novice class win took place at Canfield, OH in an extremely large class. Erika won Best Junior Handler at the Match Show at the 2001 Mastiff Nationals, and won 2nd in the regular Junior Novice class at the same show.

Erika then showed in the extremely competitive Senior Open class, and performed very well. She was one of the few Junior Handlers in the nation showing a Mastiff.

Erika was the top Junior Handler nationwide showing Mastiffs in 2001, and again for 2002. Erika placed First in the Open Junior class at the MCOA 2002 National Specialty held in Portland, Oregon.

Erika showed Wynwood's Touched By An Angel (Zoey) in the Breed Class taking Best of Opposite at the Ashtabula Kennel Club Show in Hamburg, NY in August 2003.

At the 2003 MCOA National Specialty, Erika took 1st in the Junior Open Class, and then won Best Junior Handler overall.

Erika won the Senior Open class and Best Junior Handler at the Longview-Kelso Kennel Club Dog Show held in St. Helens, Oregon on August 30, 2003. Erika showed Wynwood's Touched By An Angel to this impressive win.

At the 2004 MCOA National Specialty, Erika took 1st in the Senior Open Class; and for the second year in a row won Best Junior Handler overall.

On June 18 and 19, 2004, Erika showed CH Ashenafae Pesky Wabbit V Four-T, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, to Best of Breed both days at the Clackamas Kennel Club Shows.

Erika retired from active showing in 2004, but was recognized as one of the outstanding Junior Handlers in the nation during her short career.
